Prelim task- moodboard

PRELIM TASK- moodboard of the fonts

This lesson we have been asked to create a moodboard of the different fonts magazines editors use on their front page of a fashion magazine. Later on we had to discuss the similarities
and differences magazines editors use as their fonts.

Similarities-
Capital letters- most fonts are uppercase, this is to attract the readers into buying their magazines and to show who's magazine company it belongs too.
Bold fonts- Nearly every magazine has their masthead written in bold, this is to show the darkened text and to help emphasised the font.
Colour- the fonts are coloured controlled, meaning they have one feature colour with the use of black and white, so it balance it out.
Differences-
Lower case- Two fonts that I have choses in the moodboard are lowercase, they may be different from the rest as they may have a different house style.
Italic- Some fonts have the style italic, chosen to be their masthead to distinguish certain words from the others within the text.
